We were lucky enough to get to interview the lovely Kat Shoob last week, a lady with a crazy schedule and a kickin’ attitude to life!  When Kat isn’t presenting, The Vodaphone Big Top 40 Chart every Sunday 4-7pm, she is the main dep for Lisa Snowdon on the Capital Breakfast Show or doing voiceovers.  Here’s what she had to say:

FG: With your crazy schedule, when do you get to work out?

K: I always try to get my gym out of the way in the morning, I’m definitely a morning workout person!  I’m just not a person that can go in the evening.

FG: How often do you train a week?

K: I definitely get four sessions in a week on average, my schedule can be different each day but I generally get the four workouts done.  I go to classes really, as I’m not really a person that likes to work out on their own, so classes work for me.  I like to mix it up so I do circuits, bootcamp, ab classes etc.

FG: What is your favourite workout?

K: I’m really liking swimming at the moment, you’re just in your own bubble.  I know that that’s a time that I will not be checking my blackberry which I’m generally stuck to!  If I’ve got something on my mind, I will go swimming, it really helps to clear my mind.  I also like workouts that you really feel sweaty afterwards, like circuits.

FG: What is your least favourite workout?

K: I would rather eat my own vomit than do spinning!

FG: Oh dear…

K: I know, I hate it!

FG: Why is training important to you?

K: I think that eating healthy alone, isn’t enough.  I like to enjoy food at the weekend and working out allows me to do that.  I don’t see it as my punishment, it’s just how I keep the balance.  It also just keeps my head really clear.

FG: What about food, what’s your favourite food?

K: I spent some time in L.A. last year and have become obsessed with egg white omelettes!  I’m not a big cooker, so I’m very much an on-the-go food grabber

FG: Ok, since you’re the music lady, what are your top tracks to workout to?

K: Ooh, I really like music you can really just stomp along to, I’m a big fan of Disclosure, anything by David Guetta, some classic Usher but I guess my top 5 would be:

1La La La, by Naughty Boy (feat. Sam Smith)

2Need U (100%), by Duke Dumont (feat. A*M*E)

3Waiting All Night, by Rudimental (feat. Ella Eyre)

4Blurred Lines, by Robin Thicke (feat. T.I. & Pharrell)

5Sweat, by Snoop Dogg v. David Guetta
