“Spaces not faces” – a rugby application that is useful for crowd dodging.

Are you feeling like a sardine FGs as you brave the shops in the build up to Christmas? Or indeed what city slickers may feel, daily, on their commute? There’s you, and the crowd. Now the following principle only works in motion. It will assist you getting through crowds like a silent ninja, rather then being boofed about by the shoulders of several passers by.
So a friend told me that when he used to play rugby, his coach would shout “spaces not faces”. This is brilliant psychology. You can imagine it, when running with a ball and seeing three massive members of the opposition headed straight for you, one should never focus on the actual people, as it will lead you directly into one, if not all of your opponents. Instead, one should focus on the spaces in between them, leading you to a victorious dash through a closing crevice and out the other side to victory! This principle my darlings, works, like you wouldn’t believe. But you have to be fast on your feet, and if you lose focus it could end on tears, but try it on your next shopping trip through the crowds or on your next commute to start building confidence. It works!
