Put those fluffy weights down girls, if you want results that is…

OK ladies.  Are you scared of the weights room?  Do those grunting men put you off?  Are you embarrassed that you might be getting the moves wrong?  Well listen up!  You’ve got to start somewhere, if you want to get anywhere, and faffing around with 2lb dumbbells cos you don’t want to get muscley is wasting both your time and ours!!

Why we say no to 2lb dumbbells:

1. Your muscles need to work!!  Working muscles, mean a raised metabolism, which will make you fat burning machine!!  2lb dumbbells don’t work your muscles.  They tickle them.

2. 2lb dumbbells won’t prevent you from becoming too muscley, cos guess what?…8kg dumbbells won’t make you muscley!!!  Don’t be frightened of heavier weights ladies, they really are your best friend not your enemy!

3. 2lb dumbbells usually mean you faff around with 2 sets of 15-20 repetitions, for that “tone” that magazines always promise you!!  Switch it up to at least 3 sets of 8 reps ladies, and you’ll get the tone you’re looking for!!

4. 2lb dumbbells don’t make you feel the strong woman that you are, they make you look like the girl that’s looking for “tone” cos she read it in some magazine.  Don’t be that girl.

5. 2lb dumbbells won’t get rid of your bingo wings!  Are you the girl that uses 2lb dumbbells in the gym to tone the back of her arms?  Try some kick-ass press ups, and ditch the girly weights!!
