No time to be healthy? Try this juicing time saver…

So you’ve either bought a juicer in a health-utensil-buying frenzy, or you got it as a gift from somebody you hinted to about your health-utensil-buying frenzy. Either way, you have yourself a shiny new juicer. Yes sirreeee! You are going to be the Juice Queen! How about a little carrot, apple and ginger? Or some pineapple and orange? Or some beetroot, celery and apple? The list is endless.
However, what they don’t tell you on the juicing ad is how long the damn thing takes to clean! Hell you even get to burn some serious calories getting those little carrot-y bits out of the grater thing!! I enjoy my juice but it takes me two minutes to drink it, and thirty minutes to wash up the damn machine. The enjoy-to-work ratio seems a little out of balance!!
Sooooooooo FGs, why not try this nifty little time saver to have a fresh juice every day, and…wait for it….just one, yes one washing up affair! Here’s what you’ll need:
1. Seven empty glass jars (use old jam and chutney jars, give them a good wash and then sterilise them by boiling them for 20 minutes to keep the germs out)
2. Enough fruit and veg for seven days worth of juicing e.g. 7 carrots, 7 apples, and a large piece of ginger.
3. Juice the ingredients and divide equally into the jars and seal them tightly.
4. Place six of the jars in the freezer, and enjoy the remaining juice!
5. Stroll your tush over to the sink and wash your juicer!! Dry it, and put it away until next week!
Since you’ve sealed the goodness into your juices they remain fresh until you drink them. Take each frozen one out of the freezer and leave in the fridge to thaw for 24 hours or in a cool room for 12 hours before drinking. Juicing all in one go also takes advantage of the freshness of your fruit and veggies, rather than let them sit there losing nutrients over the week! Think about all of the time you can now save, whilst still looking delicious!!
