Beach Fitness Tricks

OK, so you’ve worked damn hard to get that beach body honed and toned, you can’t afford to let it go now that you’re actually on holiday. Try these simple moves to make sure your are squeezing in maximum energy burn whilst at the beach:

1. Go for a 20 minute swim. Sea swimming is tougher than the calm of swimming pools, so your arms, pins and lungs will definitely be getting a good workout.
2. Go for a 40 minute walk along the sand. The uneven ground keeps your muscles guessing and your butt burning.
3. As above but walk just inside the shore line, the extra resistance of the water around your feet makes your work a lot harder with each step
4. For the hardcore among you, go for a 15-20 minute jog along the sand. THIS IS HARD WORK!!! You can go barefoot if you have sturdy ankles, or in your trainers if you need a little extra support, it’s still hard work. Flip flops are a no no, just in case you though it might be a good idea!
